This series of photographs was made while travelling through Asia in the summer of 2005 with my partner Seth. I wanted to make photographs with a large format camera but did not want to haul around my large 8 x 10 view camera. I did some research and found this excellent handmade handheld 4 x 5 rangefinder camera called a Littman 45 Single. What follows are the results. We traveleld to Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia. Each and every place was amazing and beautiful. I have decided to include portraits of places as well as the people. I hope that these images will inspire in people a desire to travel to this part of the world.
